Forecasters are warning that temperatures are set to plunge this evening with parts of Scotland likely to see lows of minus 20. An Ayrshire mum is appealing for more people to donate blood. Fiona Griffin needed half her blood replaced in March after giving birth to her baby boy. She's asking people to add blood donation to their list of things to do this Christmas. Traditionally donations fall by 20 percent at this time of year but the current weather means the blood transfusion service expect stocks to plummet further. A new museum dedicated to the life and works of our national bard will open to the public tomorrow. The 21 million pounds Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Alloway, houses an extensive collection of aretfacts and documents relating to the poet. It replaces the former museum which will now be used as an education centre.
